Ratings, Reviews, and Recommendations

Thank you for the gift of your time in writing a review or recommendation for me. To make the most of your time, I have put together this page to offer a small amount of guidance and to list the places where I receive reviews. Potential clients may find me through any of these channels, so please consider leaving a review/recommendation on multiple sites by copying and pasting your comments.

Google

Since many people start their online search for any service with Google, this is an important place to have good ratings. Anyone with a Google account can give me a star rating and write a recommendation/review here.

Here is a link to my business page on Google Maps. Scroll down to find the link that says Write a Review.

Facebook

Social media is changing the way many real estate professionals are doing business for the better. Anyone with a Facebook account can give my business Page a star rating and write a review to accompany it.

Here is a link to my Page on Facebook. Under the cover picture/video, you’ll see options to Like, Follow, and Recommend my page as well as some dots (…). If you click those dots, you’ll find an option to Write a Review. And while you’re there, click Like too! 😉

Zillow

Zillow is probably the most popular of all the house dreaming and shopping websites. All my listings are published there and linked to my account.

For past clients, here is a direct link to the rating and review feature on my Zillow page. You’ll need to put in a few basic details about our work together.

Realtor.com

Realtor.com is connected with my professional associations and has made a major ad push recently to draw people to its website. All my listings are published there and linked to my account. Realtor.com offers two different possibilities for commenting on my business: (1) anyone can write a recommendation, and (2) I can request reviews from past clients who are verified with the MLS number from our work together.

So, here is a link to my page on Realtor.com. If you are a past client and haven’t received a Review request, please let me know. Otherwise, you can click the Recommend Me button near the top of the page.

Some Guidelines for Reviews

I’m looking for a brief review/recommendation (150-300 characters) with a personal touch and a few specific details about how we interacted throughout the process of buying/selling your home. As you think about what to say, you might consider this suggestion from Zillow:

There is no minimum word or character count for review to be deemed “detailed.” We don’t check for grammar or spelling. What we are looking for are reviews that will provide value to both the consumer and the agent being reviewed. Explain why or how an agent helped, not just that they were helpful.

Example #1:

“Suzy Q. was an AWESOME agent!”

That is going to get rejected for lack of detail. If you think about it, that makes sense. After all, it’s not really helpful to a consumer.

Example #2:

“Suzy Q. was an AWESOME agent! She always returned our calls quickly, was available and willing to help, and was just nice to work with.”

That will pass the reviewer’s quality check every time. It’s not lengthy, but it explains why Suzy was an awesome agent.
